They’re in every home across America. They’re in your neighborhood right now. You can’t escape them because they’re just like you! Can you believe it? Every family has gotten a taste of Homeschooling. Everyone has walked a mile in your shoes. It’s unprecedented. Now all the public and private schooled families will finally understand you. They’ll hopefully give you a little more grace and be a little more welcoming to your children.
Homeschooling is not for the faint-hearted, but ’tis the season to instantly without warning become the thing that no one thought would be possible – to be like everyone
around you, a Homeschool Parent because everyone else is doing it; because there’s no other choice. All the households with children on your street are experiencing it. It’s all relatively the same thing because no one can go to a brick and mortar building for school at this time. They’re all empty.
You thought it would never happen – that glorious day when practically everyone homeschools. Some families already know what to do though; that’s you. You’re the expert and now’s the time to share your knowledge like Caleb Harris of Pflugerville did. He had the privilege of getting an article in the Austin American Statesman, “Daddy Days: Some tips for homeschooling during the coronavirus.” What are your recommendations?
