I don’t know where to start on this. My daughter would like to get involved in a 4H program for homeschoolers or possibly a FFA program. What options are available in Austin? I haven’t been able to find much info. She is excited about this idea and already raises animals of her own. Any information would be extremely appreciated. Thank you!!

Engaging children in 4-H is an awesome educational endeavor! It’s science, language arts, socialization, and much more, all wrapped up in one.
To get you started, here is a list of local clubs by county:
4-H in Travis County – http://travis-tx.tamu.edu/4-h-programs/travis-county-4-h-clubs/
4-H in Bastrop County – http://bastrop.agrilife.org/links/4h-information/
4-H in Hays County – http://hays.agrilife.org/
4-H in Williamson County – http://williamson.agrilife.org/
If you’re part of a local homeschool group, whether it’s in person or online, there’s bound to be someone a part of 4-H!
Try these groups for personal recommendations:
Austin Area Homeschoolers (Secular)- http://www.main.org/aah/0-guide-index.htm
SPARK (Secular) – https://homeschool-life.com/1827/faq/faq
Regina Mater (Austin Catholic) – http://www.reginamater.us/
GROW (Round Rock Christian) – http://www.meetup.com/GROWAustin/
Search for homeschool groups on Facebook, MeetUp, and Yahoo Groups too.
We wish you the best!
